Cath goes out walking in the land everyday with her lurcher Stella, taking in different colours and textures. These feelings of landscape are then taken into the workshop and are a basis for starting work.
Another preoccupation is with drawing and texture. These are further explored using life drawing. Ideas that come from these drawings are transferred into the printmaking process. Collagraph mainly but also incorporating stitch and collage.
She enjoys all the possibilities that paper and printmaking can afford. Collagraph making is a beginning, a starting point for exploration.
